Towne Lake, developed by Caldwell Communities, is bordered by US 290, West Road and Barker Cypress Road and built around a private recreational lake the developer puts at 300 acres with more than 14 miles of shoreline. Living on the water changes both what a car collects and how the outside should be washed.
The lake rules posted on Towne Lake’s developer site, the 2012 amended and restated version, state that all property within Towne Lake drains into the recreational lake through the storm sewer system. They require that outdoor soaps and cleaners be biodegradable and say care should be taken to keep runoff out of the streets. They also bar using chemicals such as gasoline, motor oil, paint thinner or antifreeze in any way that could let them reach the lake or a storm drain.
Newer amendments may exist, and the posted rules do not mention mobile detailing. Your association, whether the Towne Lake Community Association or a sub-association such as Lakeshore or The Heritage, is the authority on what applies to your home.

Towne Lake’s amenities include several beach areas, community and neighborhood marinas and more than 24 miles of trails. Each one leaves its own mark on the cabin or the paint.
The resident waterpark has a sandy beach, The Island, a 1.5-acre island in the lake, has a beach and swim area of its own, and the Lakehouse has a beach area beside its marina. Sand settles into carpet, seat rails and door pockets, where a quick vacuum often leaves it behind; getting it out takes crevice tools and mats that are washed or extracted.
Lake days and waterpark afternoons put damp towels, swimsuits and life jackets on the seats. Moisture left in carpet and fabric is where musty smells start. When a cabin has gone that far, Lab Extreme adds carpet and seat extraction and steam.
Backing a trailer down the boat ramp splashes lake water and silt onto the hitch, rear bumper and lower panels of the tow vehicle. Left to dry in the sun, it spots and dulls the finish, so the truck or SUV that tows the boat needs a wash soon after a launch day, not at the end of the season.
Under the posted lake rules, lot owners may keep one motorized boat, up to 22 feet, overnight in an approved private dock slip or a neighborhood or community marina slip. LabShine’s boat detailing is quoted to the actual boat and where it is kept.

Only some of Towne Lake is gated. If you live in one of the gated sections listed at the top of this page, add how the detailer gets through the gate.
In sections with townhomes, cottages or duet homes, such as Lakeshore and Northshore, say where the car will be parked and whether there is room to open every door.
Note the boat’s length and whether it is in a private slip, at a neighborhood dock or on a trailer.
If your association or section has told you anything about outdoor washing, put it in the notes so the exterior plan is agreed before anyone arrives.

Yes. Boat detailing is custom-quoted to the boat and where it is kept. The developer says the lake is only accessible to Towne Lake residents, and the posted 2012 lake rules reserve the boat ramp for residents and their accompanied guests, so access is confirmed before the quote.
